The Final Chapter

Here it is, the final entry to mine and Sean's love story(for real this time :D)... After that strange night that the question of Vegas was posed, I started to think about it... A LOT. Everyday it seemed I would think about what Mom would say when I came home to her with such overwhelming news. Sean and I discussed it constantly. There was a lot of "Are you sure you want to do this?" "Well, what if this.." But, everytime we had this discussion, we always returned to the same conclusion. We loved each other. We knew this was what we wanted, and being apart from one another was not an option. After shopping for affordable rings for a few weeks, we eventually found the perfect pair of modest but beautiful rings for us. Finally, the day came... Monday, September 4, 2006. We had it all planned out and now was the time to close our eyes and take the leap. Driving up to Vegas was nerve-racking but equally exciting. When we arrived, it was about 3:00 in the afternoon, and after getting our marriage liscense's, we walked hand in hand down the street on our way to the courthouse. We were stopped halfway by a man in a jazzy white hat and slacks who asked, "Are the two of you getting married at the courthouse today?" When we nodded he proceeded to tell us that his chapel does the same thing, but it was $5 cheaper AND we would receive 24 pictures! We looked at each other and decided "WHY NOT?" So we made our way into the chapel and after filling out some paperwork, we stood face to face, sending winks and smiles, and promised our lives to each other. And that was it... he was my husband and I was his wife. Scary?? No, of course not. It was the best decision I've made so far in life. The rest of our time in Vegas was spent lounging at the pool in the Monte Carlo sipping Virgin PiƱa Coladas, walking the strip, shopping, and, well, you know :P. And one thing was certain.. we could not stop smiling.
