Hard Work!

This Memorial Day Sean and I drove up to Bakersfield to visit the family. What Sean didn't know was that he would have his work cut out for him. It turns out my parents fence was recently blown over, so the men were put to work rebuilding it.

Look at that leveling job! They swore it was just cuz the level was broken.

My baby is amazing with a hammer! He built a whole house by himself one summer!

My bro-in-law, Brian, getting down and dirty.

Dad, making sure everything is just right. It took him a while to get those nails out. .

While the boys were out working their tails off, the girls hung out in the house, and prepared an amazing Memorial Day BBQ for everyone. Unfortunately I was too busy eating my delicious dinner to remember to bring out the camera for that part. :(

Sean's back isn't feeling too great from all the hard work though. And to make things worse, he started his summer hospital job the next day! But he's very glad to be out of school for the summer. Now he can just relax and watch the basketball game when he comes home. GO LAKERS!!!

Official Wedding Photographer!

Hey everyone! So, I'm really excited and nervous at the same time because I have officially booked my first paid wedding! Last Saturday was the engagement session. Going into it, I was a kind of apprehensive about how it would go. I was a little worried about whether or not I would meet thier expectations and seem professional. I went through the shoot in my head about a hundred times that day before we went over there. Just to make sure we knew what all the settings should be on the camera, Sean and I did a little mini-shoot outside our apartment. We didn't want to have to worry about it when we got there.
Sean (as my assistant :D) and I went to a park in the evening and met the couple. They turned out to be really nice. Overall, I think that my first shoot had some minor glitches that need to be fixed next time, but I think we got some decent pictures out of it. After we took pictures the couple, Orlando and Sandy, took us out to dinner. So that helped us get to know them a little better and that always helps. Now hopefully I'll be more comfortable with them for the wedding which is on July 18th.
So, we've posted some of the finished products on our flickr page for them to look at, and now we're just waiting for them to pick their favorite. Here are some of the ones that I think turned out the best. Let me know what you think! :D
